Harry Potter Mania!

WARNING: looong post! If you aren't a Harry Potter fan, you just might want to skip this one.

This year for Thanksgiving the Rysers went to Universal Studios where you can now find the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It was amazing! I was like a kid in a candy store the entire time we were there. Here is some of the really awesome stuff that they have re-created from the books: 

Hogwarts! One of the rides took you through the castle while you were waiting in line.

The portraits talked to you and moved from one frame to another. Most of them were sleeping. :) 

Dumbledore's Office. He came out and talked to you, too.

Wands! You could visit Ollivander's shop and if he selected you out of the audience, he would help you find the right wand. You could also buy the wands of all of the main characters.

We dined at the Three Broomsticks.

We shopped at Honeydukes and at Zonko's Joke Shop. They sold chocolate frogs, acid pops, extendable ears, copies of the Marauder's Map, and all of the Harry Potter gear you would ever want!

Butterbeer! Delicous.

The Hogwarts Express! You also could visit platform 9 3/4.

We also saw the new movie on Thanksgiving, which was spectacular! We have been watching and re-watching the preview for months in anxious anticipation. 

We had a fabulous time with family and enjoying everything that Orlando has to offer. We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner at a Spanish restaurant, in honor of Nick. We get to talk to him in two weeks!
