Love is in the Air

So, Dave and I are dating again. For the past several months our weekly date nights have consisted of watching a movie in our basement, eating ice cream and folding laundry. Not very romantic. In mid-January we went on a weekend getaway. We ate out, went to the movies (Tangled was awesome!), went out for ice cream, went to a play (The Foreigner, my favorite!), spent an afternoon in a bookstore, and played lots of board and card games in our hotel room. It reminded us about how fun it is to go on dates together. So, we've been doing more of that. Yesterday we went out to lunch and to The Sweet Tooth Fairy, an adorable cupcake and dessert shop.

Exciting news: Ted and Elise are engaged! My younger brother is going to marry one of my favorite people! Elise has felt like part of the family for a long time now, coming on family trips and to our regular family get-togethers. I have loved her ever since I met her (almost 2 years ago!) and just can't wait for her to officially be part of the family. We are thrilled for them both! The wedding will be on April 8.

And, the following day, Gramps will be getting married! Dave's grandfather has met a wonderful woman who, according to unnamed sources, makes him act like a teenager giddy in love again. We are thrilled for Gramps and Janet!
